On Wednesday, MoFA released an official statement, firmly rejecting media reports that alleged the closure of border checkpoints in various Balochistan districts.
MoFA Dismisses Reports of Border Closures
MoFA’s spokesperson swiftly dismissed the circulating claims on both social and mainstream media. “We clarify that, contrary to some media reports, all border crossings along the Pakistan-Iran border are fully operational,” the spokesperson stated. Earlier Statements from Local Authorities Spark Confusion
Previously, local authorities in Balochistan announced the closure of all five key border crossings located in Chaghi, Washuk, Kech, Panjgur, and Gwadar districts.
