Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, said Pakistan and other Islamic countries are participating in the Gaza Peace Board for the benefit of the Palestinian people. He emphasized that the stance of Pakistan’s people and the state on Palestine is united and consistent.

Maulana Ashrafi also pointed out that some groups try to create divisions among Pakistanis over the Palestinian issue for political purposes. He stressed that Pakistan’s involvement in the Peace Board is meant to genuinely support the people of Gaza, not for political gain.

He added that today’s Peace Board meeting provides an important opportunity to reaffirm Pakistan’s position and show solidarity with Palestinians at a critical time.

Leadership Role and Clear Demands for Gaza

Maulana Ashrafi highlighted the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Hafiz Syed Asim Munir, noting that they have consistently represented the interests of the Muslim Ummah regarding Palestine. He expressed hope that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will once again speak about Pakistan’s principled stance during the Gaza Peace Board meeting.

Pakistan’s position is clear and unambiguous. Maulana Ashrafi said Pakistan supports the establishment of a free and independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital.

He called for the reconstruction of Gaza and the immediate implementation of a complete ceasefire. He also emphasized the need to end Israeli atrocities and brutality against Palestinians.

The Maulana reaffirmed that Pakistan’s support is part of a broader commitment by Muslim countries to ensure justice for the people of Palestine. He encouraged cooperation among Islamic nations to achieve lasting peace and stability in Gaza.

A Call for Unity and Action

Maulana Ashrafi concluded by saying that Pakistan will continue to support the Palestinian cause through diplomatic, political, and humanitarian efforts.He stressed that unity among Muslim countries and consistent action can make a real difference for the people of Gaza.

The Peace Board meeting is seen as an important step to strengthen international support for Palestine and highlight Pakistan’s commitment to justice and peace in the region.
