Pakistan on Thursday strongly rejected the remarks made by the Indian Army Chief, calling them baseless and irresponsible.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said the allegations about the existence of terror camps in Pakistan have no truth and only serve political purposes.
He said Pakistan has made huge sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and these efforts are recognized around the world.
He added that such statements from India are a repeated attempt to use the issue of terrorism for narrow political gains.
The spokesperson said India’s claims do not change the facts. He said India’s involvement in sponsoring and supporting terrorism against Pakistan is well documented.
He referred to the case of captured Indian naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav and said India has also been linked to terrorist activities from Afghan soil and to extraterritorial actions.
He said instead of making false accusations, India should focus on its own internal problems, including rising extremism and state-backed Islamophobia.
He warned that such irresponsible statements can increase tensions in an already fragile regional situation.
Pakistan urged India to follow civilized norms between states and stop making false and provocative claims.
The spokesperson said Pakistan remains committed to peace but will continue to firmly reject any baseless allegations.
