Kalat— Pakistan’s security forces killed four Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Kalat district of Balochistan on December 27, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement issued on December 28, ISPR said the operation was launched on confirmed intelligence about the presence of terrorists linked to Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan.

During the operation, security personnel effectively engaged the terrorists’ hideout. After a heavy exchange of fire, four militants were neutralized.

ISPR said the killed terrorists were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area.

Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition and explosives from the site indicating the group’s operational capacity and intent to carry out further attacks.

Following the encounter, security forces launched sanitization operations in the surrounding areas to ensure no other terrorists remained in the vicinity.

The statement said these follow-up actions aim to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored militants and prevent future threats.

ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their counter-terrorism operations under the national vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

The campaign, the statement added, will continue at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

The military said it remains committed to safeguarding Pakistan’s peace, stability and sovereignty, and will continue decisive action against all elements involved in terrorism.
