Islamabad – Recent statements by Enaitullah Kharazmi, spokesperson for the Afghan Ministry of Defense, regarding alleged Pakistani casualties and Taliban victories during “Operation Reject Injustice” have come under scrutiny. According to Kharazmi, Taliban forces claimed to have eliminated 150 Pakistani militants, injured over 200, and captured nearly 40 outposts.

However, independent assessments and reports from Pakistani military sources indicate that these claims are false and largely misleading. There is no verified evidence of any significant Pakistani losses or the capture of strategic posts. Analysts suggest the narrative is part of a propaganda effort by the Taliban to exaggerate their capabilities and divert attention from their failure to control terrorist activities in Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s Armed Forces continue to maintain vigilant border defenses, successfully countering incursions and targeting terrorist sanctuaries that operate under Taliban protection. Officials emphasize that Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Taliban regime to dismantle anti-Pakistan networks, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil. However, Afghan authorities have taken no meaningful action.

Observers note that the Taliban’s victimhood narrative and overstatement of military achievements are a predictable pattern designed to mislead domestic and international audiences. Pakistan’s defensive operations remain focused on neutralizing threats, protecting civilians, and ensuring border security.

The government and military of Pakistan stress that cross-border terrorism will not be tolerated, and any attempts to portray Pakistan as the aggressor are categorically rejected. The country continues to act with strategic precision, while the Taliban bear responsibility for instability emerging from Afghan territory.
