ISLAMABAD – April 15, 2025: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir declared that terrorists can’t decide Pakistan’s fate, no matter how persistent their attempts. Addressing the inaugural Overseas Pakistanis Convention, the Army Chief said even ten generations of militants would fail to damage Balochistan or Pakistan.
“I’m deeply moved by the passion shown by overseas Pakistanis today,” said Gen Munir. “Let me assure you, our love for you is even stronger.” He said, As long as the people stand with the military, no harm can come to Pakistan.
He called overseas Pakistanis the true ambassadors of the country, adding that those who speak of brain drain fail to realize that this is actually brain gain. “You are the brightest reflection of Pakistan in the world,” he added.
General Munir urged overseas communities to share Pakistan’s founding story with future generations and keep the national spirit alive. “Our forefathers built Pakistan with dreams and sacrifices. That legacy must be preserved,” he said.
Referring to national security, the COAS emphasized, “However, Pakistan’s enemies think a handful of terrorists can decide the country’s fate, not even in a hundred years.”
Moreover, He added that Balochistan remains the crown jewel of Pakistan and said the armed forces can overcome any challenge as long as the public stands behind them. “The resilience of our people is our greatest strength,” Terrorists can’t decide Pakistan’s fate, he stated.
In addition, he said Pakistan is blessed with immense natural resources and we the need to be grateful. He declared, “We send a united message: whoever blocks Pakistan’s progress, we will remove that obstacle together.”
General Munir encouraged overseas Pakistanis to take pride in their heritage. “You come from a noble society built on faith, ideology, and culture. As Muslims and Pakistanis, we never back down from adversity,” he said.
The COAS noted that the Pakistani nation holds its martyrs in the highest regard. “Their sacrifices are eternal. We will never let them go to waste,” he affirmed.
General Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm stance on Kashmir and Gaza. “Kashmir was, is, and will always remain Pakistan’s jugular vein. Our hearts beat with Gaza,” he added.
Furthermore, he emphasized that Pakistan’s development journey is ongoing. He said, the real question is not when we will develop, but how fast we will achieve it.” Finally, at the end of his address, the Army Chief and attendees raised the slogan “Long Live Pakistan.”
