Khyber Pakhtunkhwa The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Department on Wednesday intensified its anti-narcotics crackdown, conducting five major operations in a single day and seizing over 35 kilograms of narcotics, officials said. The coordinated actions were carried out in line with the provincial government’s zero-tolerance policy against drug dealers and traffickers.

According to the Excise Intelligence Bureau, led by Provincial In-Charge Saud Khan Gandapur, the day-long operations targeted networks involved in the supply and distribution of ice, heroin, and hashish across the province. All six arrested suspects were taken into custody on the spot, and FIRs have been registered under relevant laws.

Breakdown of the Operations

  • First operation: 6,000 grams of heroin and 3,000 grams of ice were recovered.
  • Second operation: 19,200 grams of hashish and 500 grams of ice seized.
  • Third operation: 4,800 grams of hashish confiscated.
  • Fourth operation: 500 grams of ice recovered.
  • Fifth operation: Two individuals supplying ice to students of an educational institution in the Hazara region were arrested; 1,000 grams of ice were seized.

According to the Excise Department, the combined recoveries from all operations include:

  • 5,000 grams of ice
  • 6,000 grams of heroin
  • 24,000 grams of hashish
    Totaling 35 kilograms of narcotics seized in a single day.

Officials said the crackdown will continue, with field intelligence and operations further strengthened to dismantle drug supply chains and protect communities, especially students, from the growing threat of synthetic drugs.
