An IED explosion occurred outside the residence of Maulana Waheed Gul, Deputy Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Bajaur and former provincial assembly candidate, in Bajaur district. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, though the blast caused partial damage to the property and a vehicle.

No Casualties, Only Property Damage Reported


According to police and local sources, the explosion took place outside Maulana Waheed Gul’s home, partially damaging the house and a parked vehicle. Maulana Waheed Gul confirmed that, thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.

Following the explosion, local residents experienced fear and panic, prompting police reinforcements to secure the area. Initial investigations indicate that the blast involved an improvised explosive device (IED), according to District Police Officer (DPO) Waqas Rafiq.
