Web desk: A young girl lost her life during the sit-in protest in Dera Ismail Khan. The girl and her family had traveled from Rawalpindi to visit relatives for a wedding. On their way back, they became trapped in the protest organised by PTI.

The girl’s mother pleaded desperately with the protesters. She explained that her daughter suffered from asthma and needed urgent medical attention. Despite her cries, the protesters dismissed her concerns, accusing her of exaggerating and calling it a drama.

The mother walked for several hours carrying her daughter in an effort to reach help. When they finally arrived at the hospital, it was too late. The young girl had passed away.

This tragic incident highlights the human cost of the blockade and the urgent need for access to emergency medical care during protests.
