Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif spoke with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain over the phone to discuss the escalating crisis in the Middle East. The conversation came in the wake of hostilities between Israel and Iran, followed by Iran’s retaliatory strikes on several Gulf countries, including Bahrain.

The Prime Minister emphasized that these unprovoked attacks risk destabilizing the entire region. He stressed that escalation only worsens the situation and called for restraint from all sides to prevent further violence and civilian harm.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured Bahrain of Pakistan’s full support for the Kingdom and other Gulf nations during this challenging time. He highlighted the importance of diplomacy and urged maximum restraint to de-escalate tensions.

The Prime Minister’s remarks underline Pakistan’s role as a responsible regional actor advocating peace and stability. Analysts note that Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement aims to encourage dialogue while maintaining strong ties with Gulf partners.

Bahrain’s leadership welcomed Pakistan’s support, reflecting shared interests in ensuring regional security. The call for restraint comes as tensions continue to affect economic and political stability across the Gulf.

This telephonic discussion demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to standing with allied nations and its proactive approach to mitigating the impacts of conflict in the Middle East.
