A suicide blast in Miranshah, North Waziristan, has left at least 14 civilians injured, prompting authorities to declare an emergency at the local hospital.

According to police, the explosion took place at the Chashma Sarbandki checkpoint on the Bannu–Miranshah main road. The attack caused panic in the area as nearby civilians were caught in the blast. Soon after the incident, rescue teams and security personnel rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to Miranshah Hospital.

Meanwhile, hospital officials confirmed that several of the wounded are in serious condition. Medical Superintendent Dr. Asif Iqbal said that four of the injured remain in critical condition and are receiving emergency treatment. Doctors and staff have been placed on high alert as more injured people may arrive from the site of the attack.

In addition, the hospital has appealed to the public for urgent blood donations to help treat the wounded. Authorities said that, so far, there have been no confirmed reports of fatalities.

Later, a militant group identified as Aswadul Khurasan, which is linked to Hafiz Gul Bahadur, claimed responsibility for the attack. The group stated that the bomber was part of its Al-Hamid suicide unit.
