Security sources report 13 killed and dozens injured in three terrorist attacks across Wana and Lakki Marwat; investigations ongoing.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan – At least 13 people have been killed and dozens injured in three separate terrorist incidents across the tribal and southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to security sources, in Wana Bazaar, Lower South Waziristan, a locally made improvised explosive device (IED) targeting a police van exploded, killing at least 10 people, including a police officer, and injuring 26 others. Authorities reported that the majority of the injured were civilians who were immediately transferred to nearby hospitals, while security forces cordoned off the area to launch investigations.

In Lakki Marwat District, two separate incidents were reported. In one attack, a quadcopter drone strike targeted members of the police peace committee, resulting in at least two deaths and seven injuries.

In another drone strike in Manjhiwala, also in Lakki Marwat, relatives of police peace committee members were targeted, leaving one person dead and another injured. The explosions also caused damage to nearby buildings. Police officials confirmed that investigations are ongoing and further details are being collected.

Security agencies have vowed to continue operations to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attacks.
