The Pakistani delegation was led by Mr. Tariq Wazir, Director General for China, while the Chinese delegation was headed by Mr. Long Zhao, Director General of the Department of Consular Affairs. Both sides reviewed a wide range of consular matters, including visa and immigration policies, as well as the protection and welfare of each country’s nationals.

Speaking about the consultations, Mr. Tariq Wazir said, “These discussions provide a strong platform to ensure that the needs of our citizens in China and Pakistan are met efficiently. We are committed to making consular services more accessible and transparent.”

The consultations also highlighted the ongoing growth of people-to-people exchanges between Pakistan and China. Both sides expressed satisfaction with how these interactions continue to strengthen cultural, educational, and professional ties.

Looking ahead, Pakistan and China agreed to maintain regular consultations and continue strengthening bilateral ties. Such coordination not only makes consular services more effective but also fosters a stronger bond between the two nations at a people-to-people level.

These consultations underscore the importance of structured dialogue in international relations. As both countries work to improve services and protection for their citizens, their relationship is expected to grow even stronger, paving the way for continued cooperation in multiple sectors.
