Allegations circulating on social media regarding the recovery of explosive material in Islamabad and subsequent traffic restrictions have been dismissed as baseless propaganda.

According to security sources, an Afghan propaganda social media account named “Islamabad Post” has once again spread fabricated and misleading claims. The account alleged that explosive material was found on a busy road in Islamabad, after which the administration imposed strict restrictions on all types of movement, particularly banning heavy transport vehicles.

Security officials clarified that these claims are entirely false and part of a coordinated disinformation campaign aimed at undermining Pakistan’s peaceful environment and creating fear and uncertainty among the public.

Authorities further stated that no credible official source has confirmed any such incident or restrictions, nor has the federal police or administration issued any related orders.

Security sources added that certain social media handles operating from Afghan territory are continuously engaged in anti-Pakistan propaganda to damage the country’s international security image.

Citizens have been advised to rely only on official sources for verified information and avoid sharing unconfirmed or fabricated news.
