In the first eliminator of Pakistan Super League 11, Hyderabad delivered a commanding performance to defeat Multan Sultans by eight wickets. The match was played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. After winning the toss, Hyderabad chose to field first, putting Multan under early pressure.

Multan Sultans managed to score 159 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Shan Masood led the batting with a solid 69 runs off 46 balls. However, the rest of the lineup struggled to build momentum. Saibzada Farhan scored 15, Steve Smith added 13, and Mohammad Nawaz made 18 runs. On the bowling side, Hyderabad’s attack stayed disciplined, with Mohammad Ali, Haneen Shah, and Aakif Javed each taking two wickets.

Hyderabad Cruise Into the Next Round

In reply, Hyderabad chased the target calmly and confidently. They reached 160 runs in just the 16th over, losing only two wickets along the way. Maaz Sadaqat played a key role with an unbeaten 64 runs. Ussman Khan matched the pace with a quick 64 off 35 balls, while Saim Ayub remained not out on 15.

As a result, Multan Sultans’ journey in PSL 11 came to an end. Meanwhile, Hyderabad move forward with confidence. Next, they will face Islamabad United in the second eliminator on Friday. The winner of that match will advance to the final, where Peshawar Zalmi are already waiting after winning the qualifier.

With momentum on their side, Hyderabad now stand just one step away from the PSL 11 final.
