Islamabad: Pakistan’s textile exports have shown strong growth despite ongoing regional uncertainty. According to official trade data, exports increased by 22.81 percent year on year in April 2026.

To begin with, this rise highlights resilience in the country’s largest export sector. The Ministry of Commerce said the increase reflects improved performance in global markets and steady production levels within the industry.

Monthly and Annual Export Figures Show Positive Trend

In addition, the data shows a 11 percent monthly increase in textile exports during April 2026. The exports reached 1.498 billion dollars, compared to 1.22 billion dollars in April 2025.

Moreover, March 2026 recorded textile exports worth 1.35 billion dollars, showing a consistent upward trend in recent months.

Meanwhile, during the first ten months of the current fiscal year, textile exports rose slightly by 1.48 percent overall. From July 2025 to April 2026, exports stood at 15.07 billion dollars, compared to 14.85 billion dollars in the same period last year.

Steady Performance Despite Challenges

Overall, the Ministry of Commerce noted that Pakistan’s textile sector continues to perform steadily despite external pressures. The gradual increase in exports suggests that the industry remains a key driver of economic stability.

As a result, officials believe continued improvements in global demand and production efficiency could further strengthen export performance in the coming months.
