Reports emerging from Afghanistan’s northern Badakhshan province suggest that Tajik militia groups have gained control of several key areas. According to sources, armed groups led by Mawlawi Zubair Karim have allegedly pushed Afghan Taliban forces out of the strategically important districts of Argo and Shikai, establishing their own control in the region.

Supporters of Tajik groups and the National Resistance Front (NRF) have been celebrating the reported advances on social media, describing the development as a significant indication of weakening Taliban influence in the area.

At the same time, appeals for international support have been circulating across various online platforms, particularly calling on neighboring countries such as Pakistan and Tajikistan for assistance. The groups claim that sustaining these gains could prove difficult without resources and external backing.

The Afghan Taliban government has not yet issued an official response to the claims. Due to limited media access and strict restrictions in these remote regions of Afghanistan, independent verification of the situation on the ground remains difficult.
