Pakistan’s Counsellor to the United Nations, Saima Saleem, strongly criticized India during an important session of the UN Security Council, stating that India is exporting terrorism across the region and that groups such as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), and the Majeed Brigade are operating as proxy organizations backed by New Delhi.

Presenting Pakistan’s position before the Security Council, Saima Saleem said that Afghan territory had been used to target Pakistan, where terrorist attacks were systematically planned and facilitated.

She firmly rejected allegations made by the Afghan interim government against Pakistan, describing them as part of a deliberate and misleading campaign. She emphasized that Pakistan carried out highly precise and targeted operations against terrorist hideouts solely to protect its national security and survival.

The Pakistani counsellor also highlighted the serious situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, stating that India cannot hide its oppressive occupation from the world, where killings of unarmed civilians, arbitrary arrests, and forced displacement of local populations continue.

She further said that state persecution of Muslims and other minorities inside India has become routine, while India has also violated international law by continuously suspending the Indus Waters Treaty.

Saima Saleem concluded her statement by reaffirming that Pakistan remains committed to regional peace, meaningful dialogue, and adherence to international law.
