India’s legendary singer Asha Bhosle has passed away at the age of 92. According to Indian media, she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after her health deteriorated, where she could not recover.

Reports say Asha Bhosle was brought to the hospital due to a chest infection and died due to multiple organ failure. Her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle had also confirmed her illness on social media.

According to her son Anand Bhosle, the public will be able to pay their last respects at her residence in Lower Parel at 11 am tomorrow, while the last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park at 4 pm.

Asha Bhosle sang countless hit songs in Bollywood and various languages over several decades and earned a distinguished place in the music world. She was also awarded high honors including the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

Following her death, fans and personalities from the entertainment industry are expressing deep grief, while her contributions to the history of Indian music will always be remembered.
