A major breakthrough has brought good news for the people of Bajaur, where a historic jirga between Pakistani and Afghan tribes has successfully concluded. Following this significant development, a complete ceasefire has been announced across the border regions from Kunar and Dangam to Bajaur and Mohmand.

Haji Lali Shah Pakhtun Yaar, President of the Bajaur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, confirmed the historic peace agreement while speaking to the media. He stated that both sides have agreed to promote brotherhood and mutual respect between the tribes on both sides of the border and to work jointly for the permanent restoration of peace and stability in the border areas.

Under the agreement, all forms of firing, clashes, and aggression on both sides of the border will be completely avoided to ensure the protection of lives and property of the local population. A key aspect of this agreement is the opening of trade routes and restoration of movement, which is expected to boost economic activity in the region.

Both sides have reiterated their commitment that any future disputes will be resolved only through dialogue and consultation.
