Bajaur – On December 29, 2025, Pakistan’s Security Forces conducted a successful yet costly intelligence-based operation in the Khar area of Bajaur District.
The action was aimed at a hideout of the Indian sponsored organization, Fitna al Khwarij. In the intense interaction, the troops neutralized five terrorists.
The triumph was, however, tainted with grief when Major Adeel Zaman, a young, courageous officer of Dera Ismail Khan, sacrificed his life to duty.
Major Adeel led his men in the forefront, and his sacrifice is a symbol of the current counter-terrorism campaign to save innocent lives.

Gallantry and Sacrifice
The crossfire was characterized as ferocious, with the soldiers successfully dealing with the militants to ensure that they did not inflict any more damage.
Major Adeel Zaman engaged in a battle with great gallantry and then took Shahadat, leaving a heritage of heroism.
The neutralized terrorists were discovered carrying a huge arsenal of weapons and ammunition. These persons had been actively involved in various assaults against law enforcement agencies as well as civilians.
This successful operation in Bajaur is a crucial component of the larger counter-terrorism campaign, which would dismantle the connections of foreign-sponsored Proxies that pose a threat to the peace of the region.
The Vision of Azm-e-Istehkam
Security forces undertook post-encounter sanitization exercises to make sure that there were no other threats remaining in the front.
This mission is a part of the national vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, a plan newly sanctioned by the Federal Apex Committee to sweep the country of militancy.
The military has reiterated that the counter-terrorism campaign will be pursued with renewed vigor until the threat of foreign-backed terrorism is eliminated.
The dedication of other officers, such as Major Adeel, makes sure that the will of the nation is not swayed by these foreign pressures.
