Washington, DC – US President Donald J. Trump has firmly rejected reports suggesting that General Daniel Keen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, opposed a potential military action against the Islamic Republic of Iran. In a statement posted on his social media platform Truth Social on Monday evening, Trump described such claims as “completely false” and emphasized that the final decision regarding either military action or a diplomatic agreement with Tehran rests solely with him.
According to Trump, General Keen, who he said would be responsible for leading a so-called “midnight strike” against Iran’s nuclear program, reportedly believes that any military engagement would be “easily winnable.” Despite these claims, the President underscored that the authority to decide on matters of war or negotiation lies entirely with the office of the President.
