Quetta – In a significant counter-terrorism breakthrough, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a close associate of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) leader, Dr. Usman Qazi, during a targeted operation. According to a private TV channel, the suspect played a critical role in facilitating terrorist activities across Balochistan.
Suspect Identified as Former Prosecutor Inspector
The suspect, identified as Mir Khan Muhammad, has a controversial background. He graduated in law from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, before joining government service as a Prosecutor Inspector in Balochistan. Investigators believe that his legal and official position enabled him to exploit insider access to assist anti-state elements.
Authorities allege that Mir Khan maintained long-standing ties with BLA networks and used his professional cover to advance separatist agendas.
Involvement in Anti-State Activities and Terror Facilitation
Preliminary findings reveal that the suspect provided logistical support and safe passage for BLA operatives. His role extended to strategic planning and financing operations targeting security personnel and state installations. Officials also accuse him of leveraging his position to obstruct legal proceedings in cases involving militants.

Confessions During Interrogation
According to initial interrogation reports, the suspect confessed to involvement in more than a dozen high-profile attacks in Balochistan.
