During the meeting, Qureshi underscored Pakistan’s commitment to unity in diversity, saying people of different faiths live together with mutual respect and shared national pride. He highlighted the role of religious leaders in fostering dialogue and promoting peace across communities.
Moreover, Qureshi described Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as a model of religious tolerance, noting that minority communities enjoy full rights and freedom under the law. He said provincial authorities and community leaders continue to work together to safeguard places of worship and ensure equal opportunities for all citizens.
Lepel welcomed Pakistan’s efforts to promote interfaith harmony and recognised the country’s initiatives to protect minority rights. She emphasised that promoting religious tolerance strengthens social cohesion and contributes to long-term stability.
