Islamabad, February 14, 2026 – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) General Secretary Salman Akram Raja has claimed that the government has agreed to transfer former Prime Minister Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for medical treatment.
Speaking to media outlets, Raja said that although he did not name specific officials, he had been informed that arrangements are underway to admit Khan to the hospital. This development comes amid ongoing concerns about the health of the PTI chairman, who has been detained in Adiala Jail.
According to international observers and human rights organizations, the treatment and well-being of political prisoners in Pakistan have been under scrutiny, with calls for ensuring proper medical care. The potential hospital transfer could address immediate health concerns while remaining in compliance with legal and security protocols.
PTI sources emphasized that the party is closely monitoring Khan’s condition and coordinating with authorities to ensure that he receives the necessary medical attention.
No official confirmation has yet been issued by the federal government or hospital authorities regarding the admission. Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
