Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the evolving regional situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability.

According to a statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan, both leaders exchanged views on key regional developments and emphasized the importance of continued diplomatic engagement.

Focus on Regional Stability

During the conversation, Abbas Araghchi briefed Ishaq Dar on his recent official visit to China. He shared details of consultations held in Beijing regarding regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Both leaders stressed the need to accelerate joint diplomatic efforts for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.

Appreciation for Pakistan’s Diplomatic Support

The Iranian foreign minister also thanked Pakistan for facilitating the safe return of Iranian citizens from previously detained vessels.

Abbas Araghchi praised Pakistan’s continued diplomatic and humanitarian assistance during a difficult period, describing it as a reflection of the deep brotherly relations between the two neighboring countries.
