In the current environment of uncertainty regarding the ongoing ceasefire in the Middle East, some pro-war elements and several critics are continuously issuing provocative, emotional, and irresponsible statements. These elements claim that Iran’s basic installations, power plants, water, oil, and industrial targets can be forced to submit through new and intense bombardment. On the other hand, in defense circles, it is also being discussed that this ceasefire is merely a temporary pause so that the parties and Gulf countries can fully prepare for a more devastating confrontation in the future.

Pakistan’s foresight

According to analysts, spreading war, bloodshed, and destruction is always relatively easy, but creating peace, patience, and restraint in such a catastrophic and explosive environment requires real state wisdom and strategic insight. Pakistan has played and continues to play this same prudent role throughout this crisis. Pakistan is not only showing emotional elements the mirror of ground realities but is also challenging those forces that want to throw the entire Gulf region into a fire for their specific interests.

Horrific global effects of new adventurism

Just imagine if the United States and Israel again targeted Iran’s infrastructure and in response Iran carried out retaliatory actions in Gulf countries, how horrific the consequences would be compared to the current temporary ceasefire. In such a situation, global energy markets would collapse and the world could face a severe economic recession lasting for years, while global supply chains could remain paralyzed for a decade.

Furthermore, remittances in developing countries would drop dangerously, Muslim countries would become divided among themselves, the Muslim world would be trapped in emotional slogans, and even sacred places including Saudi Arabia could face serious threats. Pakistan and its leadership stand firmly against this destructive path.

Attempts to distort the Pakistani narrative

It is not surprising that some opposing elements are trying to distort Pakistan’s constructive narrative through short sentences, unknown sources, and organized propaganda, because here it is not about temporary interests but a matter of life and death for the region. In this context, recent terrorist actions by India-supported proxies operating from Afghan soil inside Pakistan can also be seen, whose purpose is to present Pakistan as an unstable country, while Pakistan is currently playing a busy and very important role in solving major global issues.

Statement of the Iranian Foreign Minister in New Delhi

A strong and international confirmation of Pakistan’s regional diplomacy emerged when Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Pakistan’s mediation efforts have not failed but are only going through a phase of temporary challenges. While speaking in New Delhi, Abbas Araghchi expressed his special confidence and open support for Islamabad’s efforts for peace, which is being described as a clear and major diplomatic setback for the host country, India.

The Iranian Foreign Minister’s statement has further strengthened Pakistan’s position in the region as a reliable and indispensable peace-making country. This development has come at a time when the recent BRICS summit ended without any clear success due to Indian rigidity, while Iran’s unwavering trust in Pakistan shows the clear difference between Islamabad’s successful diplomacy and New Delhi’s weakening regional strategy.
