The resolutions praised the civil and military leadership, particularly Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, as well as the sacrifices of the martyrs, for successfully repelling enemy aggression during the “Battle of Truth.”

Unanimous Resolution in Senate

A key resolution was presented in the Senate session chaired by Deputy Chairman Syedal Khan Nasar by Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, marking the great success achieved in the Battle of Truth. The House unanimously approved the resolution.

The text of the resolution stated that the House pays tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their professionalism and strategic excellence in effectively defeating enemy designs and India’s so-called “Operation Sindoor.”

The Upper House also appreciated the wise leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It particularly lauded the courageous leadership and military strategy of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, describing it as essential for strengthening national defence.

The resolution also acknowledged the positive role played by all political parties and the media.

Resolution in Punjab Assembly

Separately, in the Punjab Assembly, PML-N member Uzma Kardar submitted a resolution marking one year of Operation Bunyān-e-Marsūs.

The resolution stated that a year ago, Pakistan’s defenders stood like a steel wall in the face of enemy aggression and successfully blocked cross-border threats. It emphasized that whenever the country faced challenges, the armed forces responded with professionalism and crushed enemy intentions.

Renewed Commitment to Defence

Both houses reaffirmed in their resolutions that over the past year, political and military leadership have worked together to ensure national security.

Parliament reiterated that the entire nation stands with its armed forces and that no compromise will be made on Pakistan’s sovereignty.
