Lahore – 02 May 2025: Pakistan and Bangladesh will contest a five-match T20I series from May 25 to June 3, 2025. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the schedule of this series. The series revives international cricket at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium for the first time in 17 years.

Initially planned as a three-ODI and three-T20I tour under the Future Tours Program, the format was revised. Both cricket boards agreed to replace the ODIs with two additional T20Is to focus on preparation for the T20 World Cup 2026.

Iqbal Stadium will host the first two T20Is on May 25 and May 27. The venue last hosted an international match in April 2008, when Pakistan faced Bangladesh. Its readiness was recently demonstrated through domestic tournaments, including the Champions One Day Cup in September 2024 and the National T20 Cup in April 2025.

The remaining three matches will take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 30, June 1, and June 3. All matches are scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM local time. Bangladesh’s squad will arrive in Pakistan on May 21 and train in Faisalabad from May 22 to 24.

This series plays a crucial role in both teams’ build-up to the World Cup. Pakistan dominates the T20I head-to-head, having won 16 of 19 matches. Their last encounter was at the 2022 T20 World Cup in Adelaide.

Moreover, Pakistan Bangladesh T20I Series series marks milestone for Faisalabad, reinstating it as a key venue in international cricket landscape.
