Islamabad- June 14,2025: Pakistan has strongly denounced the unprovoked aggression by Israel against Iran, reaffirming its solidarity with the Iranian people and government. In a phone call with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized that Israel’s actions defy the UN Charter and international law.

The Prime Minister expressed heartfelt condolences over the loss of innocent lives and reiterated that Iran has the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. He recalled Pakistan’s firm stance at the recent UN Security Council emergency session and reaffirmed that Islamabad would continue to back Iran on global forums.

Sharif labeled Israel’s provocations and military adventurism as a grave threat to both regional and global peace. He also strongly condemned Israel’s continued genocidal campaign in Palestine, stating it was being carried out with alarming impunity.

Call for Global Action and Muslim Unity
In his social media post on X, Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan stood in unwavering solidarity with Iran and its people. He called for an urgent and united response from the international community and particularly from the Muslim Ummah. “The world must act together to halt Israel’s repeated violations,” he urged.

Sharif thanked President Pezeshkian for acknowledging Pakistan’s principled position at the UN Security Council. He noted that Pakistan is ready to contribute to any peace-building efforts in the region and warned that continued silence would only embolden further violations.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Pezeshkian appreciated Pakistan’s timely support and called it a reflection of the strong brotherly bond between the two nations. He stressed the importance of unity and collaboration in resisting foreign aggression.

As tensions remain high in the region, Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach marks a critical step in opposing escalatory actions and advocating for lawful and peaceful resolutions. Both leaders agreed to continue working together to promote regional stability and cooperation.

In reaffirming its stance, Pakistan closed ranks with Iran against what it called a direct challenge to the global rules-based order—another chapter in resisting unprovoked aggression that threatens to engulf the Middle East.
