Reports have emerged of aerial attacks/bombings near the Pakistani Embassy and the ambassador’s residence in Iran’s capital, Tehran. All Pakistani diplomatic staff are safe.
According to sources, the explosions occurred close to the diplomatic area, causing severe fear and panic among the embassy staff, though no casualties or damage have been reported.
This incident comes at a time when Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt are playing an active diplomatic role to reduce rising tensions between the US and Iran.
Previously, attacks have also occurred near the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran. Such incidents, however, increase the risks faced by diplomatic missions in conflict-prone environments.
Analysts say the current situation indicates that regional tensions are now reaching areas near diplomatic facilities, raising security concerns and making mediation efforts even more delicate.
Sources add that Pakistan is reviewing the situation at the diplomatic level and taking steps to ensure the safety and security of its staff.
