In the context of rising regional tensions and a changing geopolitical situation, Pakistan has taken an important diplomatic step by deciding to convene a four-nation meeting, which will be hosted by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar. This high-level meeting will be held on March 29 and 30 in Islamabad, in which the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt will participate alongside Pakistan.

In this regard, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has arrived in Islamabad on the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. He was received at the airport by Additional Foreign Secretary Syed Ahmed Maroof. During his visit to Pakistan, he will also meet the Prime Minister and hold important consultations on regional and global affairs. This visit reflects the close and brotherly relations and continued cooperation between Pakistan and Egypt.
On the other hand, Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has also arrived in Islamabad, where he was welcomed at Nur Khan Air Base by Additional Foreign Secretary (Afghanistan and West Asia) Syed Ali Asad Gillani. He will participate in the important four-nation meeting as well as hold a bilateral meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, during which mutual relations and the latest regional situation will be discussed.
According to the Foreign Office, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia will also attend the meeting. The purpose of the gathering is to reduce tensions in the region, promote diplomatic harmony, and formulate a joint strategy. Sources say that the meeting will particularly review the situation in the Middle East, the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, and Pakistan–Afghanistan border issues.
Strict security arrangements have been made in Islamabad for this occasion.
This four-nation meeting is taking place at a time when the region is facing severe diplomatic and security challenges, and Pakistan is playing an active diplomatic role as a bridge between different countries. According to experts, the meeting is not only part of efforts to reduce regional tensions but also highlights Pakistan’s growing diplomatic importance and its role in mediation.
