Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, in which they conducted detailed consultations on the overall situation in West Asia and its impact on global peace and security.

During the discussion, Ishaq Dar highlighted the importance of the UN’s key role in resolving regional conflicts and preventing war. He emphasized that Pakistan remains firmly committed to a policy of diplomacy and purposeful negotiations to establish lasting peace in the region.

On this occasion, UN Secretary-General António Guterres appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote stability in the region and assured full support for ongoing initiatives aimed at restoring peace.

Ishaq Dar described the conversation as highly productive and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to actively contribute to achieving peace and security objectives in collaboration with the international community.
