A high-level meeting was held between Pakistani officials and a United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) delegation, led by Mr. Indrika Ratwatte, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Resident Coordinator, and Humanitarian Coordinator for Afghanistan, accompanied by Mr. Malick Ceesay, Head of the UNAMA Liaison Office in Islamabad.

During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on the current human rights situation, security developments, trade, and other pressing regional matters. Pakistani officials highlighted the ongoing challenges posed by cross-border terrorism, emphasizing the serious security risks that terrorist groups based in Afghanistan continue to present for the region.
