Signs of growing internal rifts within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have surfaced after MNA Junaid Akbar openly expressed anger over the conduct of his own party’s parliamentarians.

According to party sources, Junaid Akbar circulated two voice messages in an internal PTI group, in which he sharply criticized fellow lawmakers for repeatedly denying him the opportunity to speak from the parliamentary benches. In his messages, he conveyed deep frustration over what he described as systematic sidelining and lack of respect within the party’s parliamentary ranks.

As a protest, Junaid Akbar announced his disassociation from the Parliamentary Committee, stating that he could no longer remain part of a forum where his voice was deliberately suppressed. His remarks reflect widening dissatisfaction among PTI lawmakers and highlight the absence of internal cohesion at a time when the party is already under political pressure.

Observers note that such public airing of grievances by a sitting MNA points to serious internal discord, raising questions about PTI’s ability to maintain unity and discipline within its parliamentary structure. The episode has reinforced perceptions that internal divisions, if left unresolved, could further weaken the party’s political standing.

The development underscores a broader challenge for PTI: managing internal differences and preventing factionalism from eroding its effectiveness both inside and outside parliament.
