A new attack by the Afghanistan Freedom Front has been reported in Baghlan province, showing a continued rise in resistance activity against the Taliban. The strike took place in the Tala wa Barfak district and targeted a Taliban position during the early hours of 12 April 2026.

The attack was carried out around 2 AM and involved a rocket strike on the Taliban site. According to available details, the operation lasted for nearly 12 minutes. As a result, four Taliban fighters were killed and two others were injured.

In addition, this latest incident is being seen as part of a growing pattern of attacks in different parts of Afghanistan. The frequency of such operations has increased in recent weeks, suggesting that organized resistance groups remain active on the ground.

Meanwhile, the Afghanistan Freedom Front has continued to carry out targeted operations against Taliban positions. These actions indicate that opposition groups are trying to maintain pressure on the ruling authorities in specific regions. As a result, security conditions in some provinces appear increasingly unstable.

Moreover, the latest attack in Baghlan highlights possible vulnerabilities in Taliban control over remote and mountainous areas. The ability of attackers to reach and strike a military position suggests gaps in local security and surveillance.

In the same way, repeated incidents like this are also shaping perceptions of the overall security situation in Afghanistan. While the Taliban maintain that they have full control of the country, ongoing attacks challenge that claim in several districts.

At the same time, analysts suggest that increasing resistance activity could lead to further instability if not contained. Continued clashes may also put additional pressure on local governance and security structures.

Finally, the situation in Baghlan reflects a broader trend of unrest in parts of Afghanistan where opposition groups remain active. Although the scale of each attack varies, the growing frequency points to a sustained challenge for the Taliban authorities.

Overall, the latest rocket strike is another sign of evolving security dynamics in the country, with resistance activity appearing to expand in both reach and intensity.
