Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that promoting merit at every level is essential to reduce the gap between the state and young people. He made these remarks while speaking at a ceremony held at the Chief Minister Secretariat. The event marked the successful completion of targets under the school enrollment campaign organized by the education department.

He said the province must move forward on fairness and equal opportunity. According to him, past decisions in education and recruitment had slowed down progress in Balochistan. He also pointed out that qualified teachers were once sent back from Punjab, which caused long term setbacks in the education system.

Moving forward, the Chief Minister stressed that his government is focused on fixing these gaps. He said development should reach ordinary citizens, especially those from poor and working families. In his view, education is the strongest tool to change lives and build trust between people and the state.

Job Merit, Anti Corruption Steps, and Use of Technology

In his address, Sarfraz Bugti repeated his commitment made on the first day in the provincial assembly. He said no government job in Balochistan will be sold or influenced through unfair means. He added that this promise is now part of his daily governance approach.

He further claimed that almost all teacher recruitments in the province, about 99.99 percent, have been completed purely on merit. This, he said, reflects a shift toward transparency and fairness in public hiring.

To strengthen this system, the provincial government is also introducing modern tools. Bugti said that artificial intelligence and other digital systems are being used in the Balochistan Public Service Commission and other departments. The goal is to reduce human interference and stop corruption in recruitment processes.

Finally, he said that rebuilding trust between youth and the state depends on consistent fairness. According to him, when people see merit being protected, confidence in government institutions naturally improves, opening the door for long term stability and progress in the province.
