Ahmad Massoud, leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, sharply criticized the Taliban’s new judicial code in a video message shared on social media, describing it as worse than the actions of ISIS and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

He stated that the content of the code, which legitimizes violence, discrimination, and the deprivation of human dignity, fails to meet any religious, humanitarian, or legal standards, emphasizing that Taliban policies and laws are pushing Afghanistan toward darkness and regression.

The video, published on 26 January 2026, highlights that the resistance leadership continues to openly oppose Taliban actions and warns of the human rights and societal consequences of these new regulations.
