Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, during which both sides discussed bilateral relations as well as key regional and global developments.

During the call, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in facilitating dialogue between Tehran and Washington. She described Pakistan’s consistent commitment and constructive role in this process as important for global peace and stability.

Briefing on Islamabad Talks

Senator Ishaq Dar briefed his Australian counterpart on the Islamabad talks scheduled for April 11 and 12 in the Pakistani capital. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to continuing efforts that promote dialogue for the peaceful resolution of regional and international disputes.

Concerns Over Global Economic Impact

Both leaders expressed concern over the impact of ongoing global conflicts on the world economy, particularly the challenges faced by developing countries. They agreed that peaceful and diplomatic solutions remain essential for ensuring global stability.
