Security forces in Balochistan have completed a major and highly successful intelligence-based operation against militants in the Mangla Zarghoon mountain region, killing more than 35 militants linked to the banned group “Fitna al-Hindustan” and arresting three key commanders.
Shahid Rind, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Political and Media Affairs, shared details of the operation, stating that the action had been ongoing since May 13 in the Mangla Zarghoon Gharr area. Acting on credible intelligence, security forces targeted a stronghold of militants, resulting in the elimination of over 35 insurgents affiliated with the group.
According to officials, several hideouts and underground camps used by the militants were also destroyed during the operation, causing significant operational and financial damage to the network.
Authorities further confirmed that three senior commanders of the group were captured alive during the operation. Interrogations are currently underway, and officials say valuable intelligence has already been obtained, leading to follow-up operations in other areas of the province.
Shahid Rind added that the operation also focused on dismantling local facilitators and support networks aiding militant activities. He emphasized that the state will continue uninterrupted counter-terrorism efforts until the complete eradication of terrorism and restoration of lasting peace in the region.
He described the operation as a critical step toward ensuring stability in Balochistan and across Pakistan, urging the public to cooperate fully with security forces and report any suspicious activity immediately.
