Serious allegations have emerged against the Baloch National Movement (BNM) and its leader Dr Naseem Baloch over involvement in spreading unrest in Balochistan and exploiting young people for political purposes. According to sources, Dr Naseem Baloch is reportedly based in a luxurious environment in Europe while allegedly acting as a proxy for foreign interests to promote instability and an anti-state narrative in Balochistan.
Double Standards and Exploitation of Youth
Reports suggest that Dr Naseem Baloch’s lifestyle is in stark contrast to the narrative he promotes. His own family is said to be living a secure and comfortable life abroad, while young people from poor Baloch families are allegedly being influenced through narratives of “victimhood” and pushed toward unrest and violence. Critics argue that the core objective of BNM is to mislead vulnerable youth and use them as proxies against the state.
Foreign Funding and Anti-State Agenda
It is claimed that BNM receives significant funding from external powers that allegedly aim to create economic instability and unrest in Pakistan. The organization is also accused of presenting fabricated stories and false allegations against Pakistan on international platforms in an attempt to damage the country’s image globally. Security analysts state that such funding is not used for public welfare but rather to sabotage development projects including roads, schools, and infrastructure in Balochistan.
Claims of Representation vs Ground Reality
Public circles in Balochistan state that Dr Naseem Baloch and BNM have never been accepted as genuine representatives of the Baloch people. According to these views, the people of Balochistan seek peace, education, and development, while such groups are accused of following external agendas that contribute to continued instability. As a result, their influence is reportedly weakening at the local level.
