Web Desk: Religious and social leaders have strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks targeting innocent civilians, emphasising that such violence is not only a crime against humanity but also a direct violation of Islamic teachings.

Islamic scholars explained that the concept of “Fasad fil-’Arz” refers to extreme disruption and destruction that erodes society from within. They noted that violence aimed at civilians spreads fear, uncertainty and economic damage, undermining the social fabric.

According to religious authorities, Islam explicitly prohibits the killing of innocent people. Suicide attacks and violence in marketplaces, mosques, and other public spaces cannot be justified in the name of religion. Experts stressed that these acts are crimes against faith itself and cannot be legitimised by any religious argument.

The extremist attacks cause not only loss of life but also significant damage to local economies. The consequences of such incidents can be felt for generations, creating a climate of fear and insecurity while weakening societal structures.

Social commentators said targeting civilians contradicts the true spirit of Islam, which is rooted in peace, justice and compassion. Religious leaders urged the public to reject extremist narratives and educate the youth about authentic Islamic teachings. They emphasized that sustainable peace requires coordinated efforts by the state, religious leadership, and all segments of society to safeguard communities from corruption and chaos.
