ISLAMABAD — Hajj flight operations from Pakistan will commence on April 18 and continue until May 21, transporting pilgrims under the government scheme to Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2026, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony said on Thursday.

According to the official schedule, flights will operate from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, Multan, and other designated cities across Pakistan. A total of 468 special flights have been arranged to facilitate the transportation of pilgrims under the government Hajj programme.

Multiple airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines, AirBlue, AirSial, and Saudia Airlines, will participate in the operation. The flights will be operated from eight cities nationwide. The ministry confirmed that on the first day, four flights will depart for Madinah. During the initial 15 days, pilgrims will be flown exclusively to Madinah before operations are shifted to Jeddah.

Out of the total flights, 186 are scheduled for Madinah, while 282 flights will operate for Jeddah. Flights to Jeddah are expected to begin on May 4. Under the government Hajj scheme, a total of 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia this year, including 67,230 male and 51,846 female pilgrims.

Islamabad will operate 129 flights, followed by Karachi with 124, Lahore with 104, Quetta with 18, Multan with 34, Sialkot with 26, Faisalabad with 23, and Sukkur with five flights. Pilgrims have been advised to check their flight schedules through the “Pak Hajj Mobile” application, while detailed information is also available on the ministry’s official website.

This annual operation is conducted in coordination with Saudi aviation authorities, ensuring regulated entry and logistics for pilgrims arriving from around the world during the Hajj season.
