Srinagar – 29 April 2025: Indian army units clash near the Line of Control, resulting in the death of five Sikh soldiers during a midnight patrol exchange. The incident occurred between April 25 and 26 at Jhapala Bridge in the Baramulla sector of Indian administrated Kashmir.

Sources confirmed that the 185 Border Security Force (BSF), stationed in Baramulla, opened fire on the 13 Sikh Light Infantry Regiment of the 12 Brigade. According to defense experts, the exchange signals growing disorder and internal frustration within the Indian military ranks.

Reports indicate deep anger among Sikh soldiers of the targeted unit following the deadly incident. Analysts stress that this Indian army units clash, is not the first time such inter-unit violence has occurred within the Indian armed forces.
