Islamabad – 31 January 2026- The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) is set to launch its latest initiative, the Ideology Rehabilitation and Reintegration Program (“Reintegration”), in Islamabad next Monday. The program will be inaugurated under the patronage of H.E Federal Minister of Defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and in the presence of IMCTC Secretary General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi. Military, security, academic, and democratic leaders from across the region will also participate.

The program aims to address the root causes of extremism by promoting preventive, ideological, and rehabilitative measures. Scheduled from 2 to 6 February 2026, it targets specialists and practitioners involved in rehabilitation and reintegration initiatives within IMCTC Member States.

The training will cover key themes including the concepts and frameworks of rehabilitation and reintegration, designing effective rehabilitation programs, understanding terrorist behavior, scientific approaches to social care, and overcoming practical challenges in reintegration efforts. Sessions will be conducted through expert-led panels and training workshops.

The launch of the “Reintegration” initiative reflects IMCTC’s integrated approach across its four pillars: Ideology, Communications, Counter-Terrorism Financing, and Military operations. It underscores the coalition’s commitment to supporting Member States with practical programs that enhance societal resilience while consolidating regional and international security.

This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening collaboration between IMCTC and Pakistan, offering sustainable and scientifically grounded solutions to combat extremist ideology and reintegrate affected individuals into society.
