Khuzdar Bus Attack Linked to Indian-Sponsored Terrorism

Khuzdar attackers have no humanity, morality, Baloch or Pakistani identity: DG ISPR

May 23, 2025

ISLAMABAD – May 23, 2025: Pakistan’s top military spokesperson has directly attributed the deadly school bus attack in Khuzdar, Balochistan, to Indian-sponsored terrorism. The tragic incident on May 21 killed six children and injured 31 others.

A Pattern of Proxy Violence

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of ISPR, said the attack fits into a larger pattern of Indian-backed proxy violence. He recalled past incidents, including the arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav in 2016 and a 2019 dossier submitted to the UN.

Interior Secretary Khurram Muhammad Agha, speaking alongside him, called the attack a strike on Pakistan’s values. He stated that the group Fitna al Hindustan, operating under India’s RAW, was behind the assault.

India’s Media Footprint in Attacks

The DG ISPR claimed Indian-affiliated social media accounts hinted at the Khuzdar attack before it occurred. He cited similar activity during the 2024 attack on the Chinese envoy in Karachi and the Jaffar Express hijacking.

“What kind of country celebrates acts of terrorism?” he asked, highlighting Indian media’s alleged praise for the Khuzdar tragedy.

Officials stressed that this attack had no connection to Baloch identity. Rather, it aimed to provoke unrest and weaken Pakistan internally and internationally. They warned that targeting soft symbols like school children marks a desperate shift in tactics by India-backed proxies.

Lt Gen Chaudhry assured that Pakistan would respond with strength. “The state has the capacity and will to dismantle these networks,” he said.

The press conference closed with a unified message. Both civil and military leaders expressed determination to deliver justice and ensure security.

Lt Gen Chaudhry declared, “We will not bow to Indian-sponsored terrorism.”
