The long running legal dispute between singers Ali Zafar and Mesha Shafi has taken a new turn. Mesha Shafi has filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court against a recent session court decision that ordered her to pay 5 million rupees in damages.

The appeal has been filed through her lawyer, Advocate Saqib Jilani. It argues that the lower court did not properly examine all facts before giving its judgment. The case has once again brought public attention back to this high profile dispute in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Both Sides Continue to Challenge Claims and Evidence
In addition, the appeal raises the point that Mesha Shafi was not fully able to prove her allegations in court. At the same time, it also states that Ali Zafar has not fully denied the accusations made against him.

Furthermore, the petition mentions that the matter is already pending before the Supreme Court. Because of this, it argues that the damages order should not be enforced until a final decision is made at the highest level.

Meanwhile, Mesha Shafi has requested the court to cancel the session court’s decision. She has asked the Lahore High Court to declare the 5 million rupee order invalid.

In conclusion, the case continues to move through different levels of the judicial system. With both sides holding firm to their positions, the final outcome now depends on the higher courts.
