Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Monday for an official two-day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran and advancing cooperation on regional peace efforts, according to the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran.

Upon arrival, Iranian authorities received him at the airport, and Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni formally welcomed him in the Iranian capital.

During the visit, Mohsin Naqvi held a high-level meeting with his Iranian counterpart, where both ministers discussed a wide range of issues including Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations, border security cooperation, regional stability, and ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

The two sides reviewed current developments in the region and emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination to address shared security challenges. Both ministers agreed that continued dialogue and institutional cooperation are essential for promoting long-term peace and stability in the region.

The Iranian Interior Minister also appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in regional peace efforts and acknowledged the leadership of Pakistan in supporting diplomatic engagement and conflict resolution initiatives. He expressed Iran’s commitment to further strengthening ties with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.

Mohsin Naqvi highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to peaceful relations with neighboring countries and stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in border management, security coordination, and countering shared threats.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their resolve to deepen bilateral cooperation and agreed to maintain regular high-level contact to ensure continued progress in Pakistan-Iran relations and regional peace initiatives.
