Kabul The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Kabul Mission has been assisting essential medical assistance to the Afghan authorities in a move to improve humanitarian conditions.

A formal ceremony was conducted in the office of the Prison Administration (OPA) on December 25, 2025, to mark the ambulance donation.

This new vehicle is specially meant to assist the prison hospital in handling medical emergencies more efficiently.

Strengthening Medical Services in Kabul

The formal handover was made at the OPA Headquarters, Kabul, where major diplomats and local officials were gathered.

Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Saeed Alayyash, the OIC representative, discussed the finalization of the ambulance donation process with Mawlawi Mohammad Yousuf Misteri.

This is not an ordinary car but a fully equipped mobile medical unit that will help the prison system improve its response to emergencies.

To the personnel in the facility, the availability of this resource implies that they can now deliver a better level of care and that patients are able to access specialized hospitals safely and promptly.

Improving Conditions at Pul-e-Charkhi

One main area of focus is Pul-e-Charkhi Prison, where poor health infrastructure has been a long-standing subject of concern.

The ambulance donation will be essential in transferring inmates in need of urgent surgery or special treatment promptly. This effort is part of a deeper commitment to human life, as health is one of the essential rights that have to be safeguarded.

A Commitment to Humanitarian Support

This charity is one of several attempts made by the OIC to help the people of Afghanistan in difficult times.

Through this ambulance donation, the organization is proving that it remains constantly committed to humanitarian assistance and the welfare of the most vulnerable members of society.
