Pakistan says it shot down eight Indian fighter jets during Maarka-e-Haq, according to the Deputy Chief of Air Staff for Projects, Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi. He shared these details during a press conference held to mark one year of the operation, alongside Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.
According to Tariq Ghazi, the destroyed aircraft included four Rafale jets, along with SU 30, MiG 29, and Mirage 2000 fighter planes. He said the air battle score now stands at 8 to 0 in favor of Pakistan, which he described as clear proof of the Pakistan Air Force’s strength. In addition, he said a very costly and advanced automated air system used by India was also destroyed. He stressed that the Pakistan Air Force is fully prepared for future conflicts.
Military Rejects Indian Claims, Calls Allegations Baseless
Meanwhile, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Pakistan defeated an enemy five times its size in what he called a multi level conflict. He added that this reality is known even to children on both sides, whether India admits it or not. He said Pakistan values sacrifice deeply and sees martyrdom as a great honor.
Furthermore, the military spokesperson rejected India’s narrative on the Pahalgam incident. He said India itself is involved in terrorism and continues to commit abuses in Kashmir and Manipur. He questioned India’s claims and asked which terrorist camp was targeted. He also said Indian intelligence agencies failed to stop attackers who crossed hundreds of kilometers, yet blamed Pakistan within minutes.
Overall, Pakistani officials say the events of Maarka-e-Haq reflect the country’s military readiness and its firm stance on protecting sovereignty and national dignity.
